Defamation

We are experts in defamation law, regularly handling defamation claims in many forms (libel, slander, defamation-by-implication, trade libel, etc.), from pre-publication and pre-broadcast advice to the highest courts.  We are nationally known for being able to handle high-publicity cases in this area.

One of our lesser know experiences  is providing defamation advice to movie studios on recent well-known movies, and we have successfully represented our clients in the only two defamation cases in the United States Supreme Court since 1991.  We also have taught defamation law as adjunct professors at three area law schools.

Privacy & Publicity

We have litigated all types of privacy actions, including claims for intrusion on seclusion, eavesdropping, wiretapping, publication of private facts and false light.

We also have litigated right of publicity and misappropriation of likeness claims in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels.
